KING NESTORA’S PALACE

On the way from Hora to Pilos, on Eglianou hill, beside the road, resides King Nestora’s Palace. The palace consists of three main constructions, lying on half of the plateau.

The buildings are divided into main apartments wine storehouses, pantries and the workrooms. Its magnificence made it equivalent to that of Mycenae. It is the best preserved Mycenaean palace and differs from the rest because it is not surrounded by cyclopean walls. (40 km.)
